Xolisa Dyeshana is Chief Creative Officer and Partner at Joe Public United, where he has played a pivotal role in the independent agency’s remarkable growth, leading it to be ranked as the top creative agency in Africa and the Middle East for the past six consecutive years.
With over 25 years of experience, Xolisa has shaped campaigns for iconic global brands, earning widespread recognition for his creative leadership. He has made significant contributions to the South African advertising industry, having served as Chairperson of the Creative Circle – the highest decision-making body for advertising creativity in the country – and as Chairman of the Loeries, the region’s premier advertising awards program.
A passionate advocate for African creativity on the global stage, Xolisa has won awards at nearly every major international show and has served on their juries, both as a member and category president. He was a member of the international board of The One Club for six years and currently serves on the Global Creative Council for Meta and Anheuser-Busch. In 2025, he was appointed Jury President for Audio & Radio at Cannes Lions.
Xolisa has been honored as the joint No. 1 creative leader for Africa and the Middle East by the Loerie Awards for five of the past seven years. He was also recently named to Adweek’s Creative 100, one of the creative industry’s most prestigious global accolades.
